Don’t worry, my back is worse.
During the Rwandan genocide, when neighbors killed neighbors and friends betrayed friends, some crossed lines of hatred to protect each other.
At the time of the 1994 Rwandan genocide, the Mufti of Rwanda, the most respected Muslim leader in the country, issued a fatwa forbidding Muslims from participating in the killing of the Tutsi. As the country became a slaughterhouse, mosques became places of refuge where Muslims and Christians, Hutus and Tutsis came together to protect each other. KINYARWANDA is based on true accounts from survivors who took refuge at the Grand Mosque of Kigali and the madrassa of Nyanza. It recounts how the Imams opened the doors of the mosques to give refuge to the Tutsi and those Hutu who refused to participate in the killing.
Lol, I wonder why narratives like *this* around Islam don’t circulate…
see, this is the kind of blockbuster semi-documentary film hollywood should be making

Going to be a complete dick here, but actually, it’s Dido’s Lament. “Thy Hand Belinda” is actually the recitative that precedes the Lament; however, they are often performed as if one piece. *pushes glasses up on nose*
That’s what you always referred to it as, so I was thrown when Leah said Thy Hand Belinda but did I really pay attention to you complaining about it for two years not really I’m sorry I love you
“We were dancing everywhere. We’d be on breaks between filming, we were doing them. I remember there was a trip out to go see a band and we all went back to Emma’s house in London for a bit and we waltzed in her kitchen, just doing the dancing. Just practicing.” - Matt Lewis

WHAT’S THAT? SEXUAL AUTONOMY FOR A FEMALE PROTAGONIST?
WHAT’S THAT? SHE LEARNS TO KICK EVERYONE’S ASS?
WHAT’S THAT? SHE’S STRUGGLING TO RECONCILE HER CULTURE AND HER PERSONALITY AND TRYING TO FIND A NEUTRAL GROUND?
no but I’m rereading my old novel so I can rewrite it yet again for Camp NaNoWriMo
“How did you find me?” he asked.
“I followed the smell of sour grapes, you cranky idiot,” she snapped. “According to Will you’ve been moping.”
“Will thinks people are moping if they’re not juggling and singing folk songs,” Henry said.
Still one of the best things I’ve ever written.
omg you just referenced ‘thy hand belinda’ i think i luv u
Is that a song from Dido and Aeneas because I haven’t actually listened to most of the opera, I just had to listen to my IB Music friends bitch about it for two years
Suddenly there is a lump in my armpit.
It’s only a little lump but it hurts like a bitch.
Clearly it is a buboe and I am stricken with the plague. Remember me, but- ah!- forget my fate.

Is it bad that for a long time I thought that Bones was a show that explored the misadventures of the Enterprise’s medic?
No, Jen, that is very good.
